You may be one of the millions of people struggling to cope with anxiety. Overcoming anxiety is something that takes time. You probably want to stop panic attacks and anxiety overnight, but your anxiety has been with you for some time and it may not be that easy to shift. There are tools and techniques that can certainly help you control your anxiety and make it far more manageable. Here are three simple pointers that I use with my clients that may help you in your battle with anxiety
Being constantly anxious certainly takes the fun out of life. You really want to get out and enjoy yourself but that voice in your head is stopping you. It's putting all sorts of obstacles in your way and making you indecisive. You get your coat on to go to the shops and you find yourself making excuses as to why you should stay at home. It's crazy! You really want to go out but your brain is giving you all sorts of negative reasons not to.
Have you:
- Ever been in a room full of people and felt that you must just get out of the room?
- Been in the supermarket and felt like you were going to faint?
- Got ready to go on a date and found that you could not leave the bathroom?
- Been in a restaurant and felt like you were suffocating?
